Bandai HQ Lifesize Statues in Tokyo

Bandai has their headquarters in Tokyo in Taitō-ku, Komagata.  Their building was completed in 2002 with 14 floors and by itself, not that interesting.  However, outside the building are a number of life size or larger than life size anime statues you might want to peruse.    They have Ultraman, Cinnamoroll, Doraemon, SD Deformed Gundam, Kamen Rider and more on display.  There are arcade consoles inside the building.

The building is about half a kilometre south of of Asakusa Kaminarimon(雷門) or "Thunder Gate".
Even if you don't visit, you can check it out on Google Streetview and look at all the statues by viewing the larger map above and zooming in until you get into Streetview mode.

  2. The big thing to see here is mainly the statues. The building itself has an atrium, but I am not sure if you can get very far inside. It depends where the security desk is. There is supposed to be some Bandai arcade machines in the lobby, but that isn't recent information. You can always walk into the building and have a peek by reception. There isn't any shopping or anything here.
    I hope that helps.

Does anyone else have any info?

  3. Hi,
I just came back from there. You can get in. In the Atrium you can find some goodies (Though I don't know if you can buy or if it's some kind of memorial). 1st floor should be the arcade area (But they are in maintenance today and only accessible later from 5pm to 6pm)
