Nongshim has a good ramen collaboration with KPop Demon Hunters going. It started with the bag ramen and then I saw these instant noodle cups. I wasn't expecting anything fantastic, but you get to taste what each of the Huntrix character's favourite flavours are, so it is a nice touch.
There are three different cups in the promotion, one for each of the main characters Rumi, Zoey, and Mira. I do like how they did up the cups to make them all unique in colour and design, yet keep common elements to bind the designs together. The manga or should I say manwha style for the characters is also a nice touch, rather than using CG art like in the animated movie.
Without further intro, lets get to tasting these noodles.
Rumi, Superstar Noodle Cup
This is the noodle cup for the star of the show. It has a spicy and smoky flavour which was described on the packaging, too. It has a flavour that is close to some of the instant noodle k-army stews I've had before. I like how they even had some yellow star shapes in it. The yellow stars and the brown slices are both made of fish cake and they simulate the sausage that would go into a k-army stew I think.

| 3/4 view of the cup. Lots of blue with a starry night motif for a background. |
 |
| The lid shows the starry night background well with the soup taking up the bottom half of the picture. It illustrates the noodles in a fiery red soup, with bits of sausage, the stars, bok choy, and tempura. Not a bad set of toppings. |

| You get toppings with the noodles and a powdered soup base. I like how the soup base packaging matches the cup. |

I actually liked this the most out of the three cups of noodles. The kimchee cabbage, fishcake, tempura, all went nicely with the soup, but I just wish there was some more of them. The spice is a medium low and there is a hint of smoke a bit like smoked paprika. Reminds me a bit of the bbq flavour for chips. This one had a good flavour that was k-army stew-like.
Zoey, Burger Hero Noodle Cup
Zoey is the burger hero and everything is green on the outside of this cup. She wears one of those Uncle Sam type hats as American is burger country. I wasn't sure what to expect for the flavour in this cup as I don't think I've had a hamburger flavour before - beef yes, but not burger.
 |
| Not sure why the burger cup is green but it looks good and matches Zoey's hair. The background has hamburgers on it. |
 |
| The lid of the cup shows the soup with ground meat and parsley and something that is ketchup? |

 |
| You can see bits of ground meat (actually soy protein) and the soup base sachet. |
 |
| Plenty of soup base and lots of little nuggets of soy. |
 |
| The rehydrated soup is very brown, reminding me of a beef broth or French onion soup. There are lots of little parsley bits floating on top. |
The soup base in powdered form smelled a bit cheesy, so I guess this is a cheeseburger! The burger nuggets were fairly large and they expanded well after hydrating. The soy nuggets did get soft and dissolved easily in the mouth so there wasn't much of a meat texture to these. The soup base had an immediate sharp kick to the soup that mellows as you eat. The broth is a pleasant tasting with a medium low heat to it with a mild beefy taste. The cheese smell kind of vanished in the soup and I looked on the packaging to see no cheese was used (yeast extract is amazing). This was my least favourite of the three cups as I thought it was just okay.
Mira, Spicy Queen Noodle Cup
Mira gets a bright red cup to show that this is a spicy cup noodle. This particular cup reminded me a lot of the regular Nongshim Shin spicy noodles, but with the toppings from the Shin Black. This might not make it special, but it's going to be good.
 |
| Mira is shown with a big smile and has a red pepper. |
 |
| Looks like a lot like regular Shin ramen with the Gourmet Spicy. |

| Looks like lots of toppings because of the big pieces of mushroom. |

| Spicy soup powder with the dry noodles. |
 |
| The rehydrated noodles with the topping all expanded. It looks like a lot of green onion, mushroom, peppers, and carrots! |
This soup had the aroma of the regular Shin spicy gourment flavour. It is a nice red soup that looks spicy and I could smell chili peppers. The soup packs a spicy kick right off the bat and was the spiciest of the three so there was a nice little burn to the mouth. I would say this one has a medium high heat level and I enjoyed it for what it was. I have regular Shin in the cupboard and this fits right in there with it so it's pretty good. I did really like the big pieces of chewy mushroom. This was my second favourite of the noodle cups.
