Spring 2025 Anime Figure Haul (LLENN, Son Goku, Sugimoto, FUKAZIROH, Sakurajima, Macross Frontier)

My orders from AmiAmi came through in April / Early May and I picked up a number of cheaper figures from the Popup Parade line or from prize capture machines. Almost all of these were second hand, which brings the price way down for non-high demand figures. Series like Apothecary Diaries, Dandadan, etc., the figures still tend to be pricey or not available due. Often second hand figures are like new so I have no complaints, and it covers the cost of shipping from Japan.

In this set of figures, I received Immortal Sugimoto from Golden Kamuy, Child Son Goku from DragonBall Kai, LLENN from GGO, FUKAZIROH from GGO, Mai Sakurajima from Rascal Does Not Dream, and Sheryl Nome + Ranka Lee from Oshare Macross Revolution. So here are some pics of the figures. Most are 1/8 scale, but some are 1/10 scale like the Mai Sakurajima.

A few of the boxes. I had all the figures split over 3 boxes to save shipping via Small Air Packet.

Son Goku

This is a tiny 1/10 scale figure of a small person. Nicely detailed for the size, it gets Goku in a nice action-ready pose with an evening backdrop. I don't actually collect Dragonball, but this is a nice addition.

Kid sized, Son Goku from Dragonball Kai

A couple more images of Son Goku.

Immortal Sugimoto

Sugimoto in his Imperial Army uniform, ready for the cold winters in Hokkaido. I have Asirpa on order to complete a set, but he came out a few months earlier. I've really enjoyed this Golden Kamuy, with the over the top villains and the quest for the gold horde. The costume is primarily done in molded colour plastic with a minimal of painting. Looks pretty good despite this.

Sugimoto looking stoic and showing the scars on his face.

LLENN

You can't hit this rapidly moving pink, bunny hat girl armed with a pink P90 in Gun Gale Online. I quite liked the first series, with the second being okay. Still she is an iconic character in hat outfit and the molding for this figure must have been easy. It's all pink plastic with minimal painting for the white strips in the hat and suit.

The face is done nicely and the P90 is detailed enough.

Second Set of Figures

FUKAZIROH

LLENNs sidekick who gets her into GGO. Another pint-sized character that packs a big punch with a pair of Pancor grenade launchers. There were some good scenes with FUKAZIROH providing indirect fire support to LLENN in battle. I think it is kind of cool to see this in the anime, but wonder if anyone does this in the real world. The helmet is removable and the two grenade launchers are done in sufficient detail. Her outfit is a tan plastic with no painting and her vest with the grenade pockets is molded in green plastic with bronze and black painting for detail.

Sheryl Nome

Macross Frontier was one of those anime that never made it to North America until recently. In the 2000s it was one of those quest items to view and find merchandise for. I thought the original Macross was good, but Macross Frontier rebooted the franchise in a big way, much like Gundam Seed revitalized Gundam. I still like Macross today and when I saw these steampunk costumes for the two female stars, I thought I would pick them up.

Sheryl looks really stylish in leather and has a gold whip and top hat decorated with cogs. She has mechanical wings on her back and it is an interesting outfit that would fit into any adventure.  Both her outfit and Rankas are primarily done in molded colour plastic with some painted details. It is pretty good construction considering what was done to keep production costs down.

The hat and face are nicely done.

Ranka Lee

Ranka is very smiley in this steampunk version and has an assortment of accessories for her steampunk outfit. There are goggles, a leather hat, a glass jar, a big key ring. I'm not sure what she is dressed up for, but it is an interesting outfit that is a cross between a tinker and a scientist?

Hat and face are nicely done again.

Mai Sakurajima from Rascal Does Not Dream

One of my favourite female characters. I have to say bunny girl figures are super popular, but this is the only large figure of a bunny girl that I own. It is a simple outfit and it is quite well done despite the lack of any painted details. Her face and hair are done well and it is a great little figure in 1/10 scale.

Good detailing.

I also have a summer dress version of Mai.

Mix Pics

The figures combined in various combinations.

That's all for now!
