Junji Okubo rocks!  He is a great mecha designer and I like his work as he blends the CG robots in with real world landscapes.  His focus on industrial or working robots is something that you don't usually see much of.  If you like robots, you need to visit his website at http://izmojuki.com/ to see more (you will need to click on the little mech at the bottom of his page to see his drawings!).  His designs are modern and practical looking and range from industrial / worker robots to military mechs.  He also has a wonderful book titled Industrial Divinities about many of this robot designs that I bought on Amazon Japan.
