Pokémon Noodle Cup Extravaganza, A Review

Since the beginning of the year a few types of Japanese Pokemon noodles were available on the local supermarket shelves.  I picked up an Ace Cook shoyu ramen, an Ace Cook shio ramen, and a Sapporo Ichiban vegetable consomme flavour.  The flavours are really nothing all that special (other than they are not made in North America).  These are targeted at children or adults who buy them for their blog.  The thrill of these noodles comes from the themed cup itself.

Ace Cook Pokemon Shoyu Noodle Cup

This is the regular soy sauce soup flavour.  It had a few of the generation 1 Pokemon on it.  This cup came with a sticker!

Pikachu and Jigglypuff

Gengar is on the lid.

Ace Cook Pokemon Shio Noodle Cup

This is the regular salt flavour soup flavour.  It had a few Pokemon on it from a number of different generations.  This cup came with a sticker!

Sapporo Ichiban Pokemon Vegetable Consomme Noodle Cup

This was more of a bowl than a cup.  Not as fancy in printing as the Ace Cook cups.  There was no sticker with this, but you got Pikachu naruto in the toppings.  The other cups were paper while this one is styrofoam.

Pikachu and Sprigatito are on the lid.  You can see the Pikachu naruto on the bottom.

There's another promotion that goes with this.  You can see the noodle block, soup base powder, and toppings.

The soup base and toppings on the noodles.  Cute little Pikachu Naruto.

The rehydrated noodles.

Closeup of Pikachu and the noodles.  This was a very mild soup flavour.  Inoffensive and gentle on the taste buds.  The highlight is the naruto.
