Tokyo Disney - Tokyo Intro: Experience #43 of 55

There are the Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea theme parks, with DisneySea being unique.  DisneySea is definitely worth a visit for any Disneyphile, and you can also do Tokyo Disney too.  You will need a day for each park unless you have some kind of specialized itinerary.

DisneySea is a unique Disney theme park operated by a Japanese partner and the localization touches are wonderful, but the place is crowded.  There is a massive population of 35 million people in the greater Tokyo area that can visit by train within 2-3 hours.  Getting an early start with pre-purchased tickets when the gates open is a good idea.

DisneySea is unique with its big central lagoon with a giant volcano centerpiece.  This giant volcano houses a secret lake with Captain Nemo's Nautilus and the Journey to the Center of the Earth ride.  Research the park to get the most out of it, and do sample the Japanese regional treats and food offered only at this park.
