Tokyu Hands - Tokyo Intro: Experience #47 of 55

Tokyu Hands is a popular chain of stores that sell DIY tools and materials along with items for everyday life.  This means the store has a lot of everything, and it has not expanded outside of Japan, making it one of the more unique chain stores to visit.

Some of the inventory categories are stationary, personal hygiene and grooming products, art supplies, emergency foods and gear, hand bags and backpacks, power tools, hand tools, wood, craft materials, fabric, toys, housewares, and bicycles.  If you need anything for crafting or art, this is the place to visit first.

The staff are knowledgeable and they set up their own eye-catching displays.  If you have any manga artists to shop for they sell Copic Markers and an amazing assortment of Japanese pens and pencils.  They have many unique Japanese products and any visit should include a Tokyu Hands.

If you are looking for souvenirs or unique stationary / goods / foods, a visit to the Mega Don Quijote and the Tokyu Hands in Shibuya could cover most of your needs.  There are good-sized stores in Ikebukuro (near Sunshine City), in Shinjuku (Takashimaya Times Square), and a big one in Shibuya that is fairly close to the Mega Don Quijote.
